Impressive vinyl edition of “Écailles de lune”, the second full-length studio album by French visionaries Alcest, which deepens and expands the sonic universe that Neige first unveiled on “Souvenirs d’un autre monde”, elevating his singular vision of atmospheric black metal and post-black metal to a new level of maturity, cohesion and artistic ambition. Darker and more melancholic, yet also more dynamic and emotionally absorbing, the album unfolds as a conceptual journey divided into two parts, where ethereal, enveloping guitars coexist with bursts of Norwegian-rooted black metal, luminous shoegaze passages and an organic production that enhances its hypnotic character.
