Composed of three expansive pieces and a brief instrumental epilogue, the record is built upon long, simple and repetitive riffs that generate a hypnotic sensation, prioritizing atmosphere and the evocation of nature over direct aggression, with compositions that unfold slowly and aim to immerse the listener in a melancholic and contemplative trance, eventually becoming a reference point within pagan and atmospheric black metal and the starting point of one of the genre’s most influential discographies.
