Description
Drawing inspiration from some of history's darkest true crime cases, “I 9 volti del demonio” reaffirms Italy's Khephra as one of the most uncompromising and steadfast names in the country's underground scene. Conceived as a disturbing journey through nine stories inspired by real-life crimes, this third full-length transforms horror, madness and human depravity into the central thread of a work where darkness serves not as a mere aesthetic device, but as a powerful condemnation of the bleakest aspects of the human condition.
Remaining fiercely loyal to a vision of black metal untouched by trends or compromise, Khephra unleash a relentless assault built upon icy riffs, explosive blast beats and razor-sharp black/thrash flourishes, maintaining a crushing intensity throughout without ever sacrificing thoughtful songwriting or a strong sense of identity. Performed entirely in Italian and rounded off with an outstanding rendition of Evol's classic “Prologue (Waiting for His Coming)”, “I 9 volti del demonio” stands as yet another testament to the band's unwavering artistic integrity and enduring commitment to the true spirit of black metal. Highly recommended for fans of Evol, Mortuary Drape, Necromass and Darkthrone.
