Watershed

The last album that could still be labeled as death metal in the career of the Swedish Opeth, very much in line with their previous recordings “Ghost Reveries” or “Deliverance”, however, with Peter Lindgren out of the picture, there was no longer any barrier to Mikael Åkerfeldt pushing the band’s sound even further into progressive and seventies rock territories... even so, “Watershed” remains another sublime entry in their discography, filled with those trademark inspirational moments that define their legacy...
