On the occasion of their 35th anniversary, Rotting Christ performed a very special concert on 29 June 2024 at the historic Lycabettus Hill Theatre in Athens, a celebration of their extensive career that was captured on “35 Years of Evil Existence: Live in Lycabettus”. Released as a double CD, this spectacular live recording features 25 tracks across almost two hours of music, spanning different periods of the Greeks' career and combining classics from their early years with compositions from their more recent releases.
The setlist includes such representative tracks as “666”, “Demonon Vrosis”, “Aealo”, “King of a Stellar War”, “Archon”, “The Raven” and “Grandis Spiritus Diavolos”, alongside less frequently played cuts such as “P'unchaw Kachun - Tuta Kachun”, “Shadows Follow”, “Sorrowful Farewell” and “In Yumen Xibalba”, as well as genuine historical pieces such as “The Sign of Evil Existence”, originally recorded in 1993, and “Among Two Storms”, from “A Dead Poem” (1997). Recorded on home soil and running for almost two hours, “35 Years of Evil Existence: Live in Lycabettus” offers a particularly comprehensive overview of Rotting Christ's evolution on stage, capturing the full force and ritualistic dimension of their live performance.
